About Me
Artist Statement
Nature is God’s awesome creation. I have had the opportunity to see things that most people never see in person. Having scuba-dived in many locations in the world, I have become fascinated with the creatures of the deep, especially sharks. I have witnessed their majesty and grace without any of the stigma that society wrongly places on them. When a guest in their environment, they are amazing to behold, and must be protected. Trees and sunsets are also special to me. I seek to bring awareness to these aspects of nature which I have witnessed. My style is unique, blending flat work with three-dimensional techniques. Carving with rare and exotic woods from faraway countries brings much enjoyment, as does creating interesting presentations of other subjects
Artist Biography
I am a Winnipeg-born artist and scuba diver.
I began artwork in high school, but placed it on hold for many
years due to family and career.
In 2010 I revived my art, choosing to blend my talents with the
experiences of over 300 dives in 13 countries.
In 2017, I decided to share my works with the public and also begin
studies at the School of Art, University of Manitoba.
My studio is located in the Cre8ery Gallery 125 Adelaide St.
